Every person, at some point in their life, totally adored Mickey Mouse🐭. Mickey Mouse is rightfully considered the most iconic character ever created because, since the 1950s, it has played an important role in entertaining children in some form or another.
My goal with this article is to share cute snack and dessert ideas, along with crafting activities inspired by the imagery of Mickey Mouse 🐭.

DIY Tie-Dye Mickey Mouse Shirt
If you are shopping on a budget, then it can be hard to find a good quality Disney shirt. With this technique, you can make your child an adorable shirt of their favorite character and put your own spin on it.
What you need- A white shirt, a tie-dye kit, a ziplock bag, warm water, a Mickey Mouse 🐭 template, and rubber bands.
Steps-
- Tie-dye kits usually come with dry powder inside the bottles. Fill these bottles with water and shake properly.
- Wash the new shirt or soak it in baking soda to remove any chemicals on the shirt.
- While the shirt is still wet or at least damp, fold it vertically and smooth out any ridges.
- Use the Mickey Mouse 🐭template to trace an outline around the center of the shirt. At the top and bottom of Mickey Mouse’s template, wrap two rubber bands.
- Twist the remaining fabric and wrap 2 to 3 rubber bands a few inches apart.
- Pick the color for Mickey Mouse and cover the inside of the outline completely with that color.
- Use other colors to dye the rest of the shirt.
- Place the shirt inside the ziplock bag and leave it aside overnight or for at least 5 to 6 hours.
- Cut the rubber bands and rinse, wash, and dry the shirt.
Mickey Mouse-Inspired Chocolate Strawberries
These Mickey Mouse 🐭 chocolate-covered strawberries were well-liked at my child’s birthday party.
What you need- Strawberries, dark chocolate chips, red candy melts, yellow M&Ms, and mini Oreos.
Steps-
- In two separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the dark and red chocolate chips.
- Dip the strawberries completely in the melted dark chocolate and let it set on a baking sheet with parchment paper. While the chocolate is still wet, place two mini marshmallows at the top of the strawberries.
- Dip the bottom half of the strawberry in the melted red chocolate. Place the strawberries back on the parchment paper and place two yellow M&Ms on the red chocolate. Once the chocolate is set, this treat is ready to be served.
Make Your Own Mickey Mouse Ears Headband
Help your child make their own Mickey Mouse 🐭 Ears headband with this easy craft.
What you need- Black craft foam, pencil, scissors, black headbands, glue gun, stickers, and glitter.
Steps-
- Help your child draw Mickey Mouse ears 👂 on the black craft foam. Cut with scissors.
- With the glue gun, glue the Mickey Mouse ears to the black headband.
- Now, ask them to decorate the ears 👂with stickers and glitter.
Mickey Mouse Lunch
This Mickey Mouse 🐭lunch is fulfilling and wholesome for children.
What you need- Bread, circular cutter, turkey, cheese, marshmallows, strawberries, and purple grapes.
Steps-
- Cut the bread into a circle with a cutter.
- Similarly, cut the cheese slice with a cutter and place the cheese slice on the bread.
- Place a couple of turkey slices on top of the cheese.
- Use the grapes to make Mickey Mouse 🐭 ears.
- Use the marshmallows to make Mickey Mouse’s eyes. Cut the grapes into small slivers and use it to make the eyeballs.
- Use cheese spread to make his mouth and a slice of strawberry to make the inside of the mouth.
Mickey Mouse Marble Painting Craft
Marble painting is an extraordinary sensory activity for toddlers and preschoolers.
What you need- Black and white cardstock paper, marbles, acrylic paint, a paintbrush, a plastic spoon, double tape, paper cups, and a cardboard box.
Steps-
- On the white construction paper, help your child draw Mickey Mouse’s silhouette.
- Stick the double tape at the back of the Mickey Mouse 🐭silhouette.
- Paste the silhouette in the middle of the black construction paper.
- Place the black construction paper at the bottom of the cardboard box.
- In three paper cups, squirt three different paint colors.
- Place one marble in each paper cup and roll it around.
- Now, ask your child to place the three marbles inside the box and shake the box.
- Now, carefully remove the white construction paper. The painting is ready.
Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bars
Make Mickey Mouse-shaped ice cream bars for your children from the comfort of your home this summer.
What you need- A large tub of vanilla ice cream, a Mickey Mouse-shaped cookie 🍪cutter, dark chocolate chips, and coconut oil.
Steps-
- Let the vanilla ice cream soften and spread it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Put the ice cream back in the freezer to set.
- Remove the baking sheet from the freezer and use a Mickey Mouse cookie 🍪 cutter to cut out the ice cream bars. Place them on another baking sheet with parchment paper and push a popsicle stick through the middle.
- Put the ice cream back in the freezer once again to set.
- While the ice cream is in the freezer, in a microwave-safe bowl, melt three cups of dark chocolate chips with one tablespoon of coconut oil. Set it aside to cool down.
- Once the ice cream has hardened, dip the ice cream into the chocolate mixture and put it back in the freezer. Serve once the chocolate has hardened.
Pro tip-
You can substitute vanilla ice cream with ice cream of any flavor.
Mickey Mouse Paper Plate Craft
Strengthen your child’s color recognition skills with this Mickey Mouse paper plate craft.
What you need- Color paint palette, construction paper, paper plate, cotton balls, acrylic paint, glue, and paintbrush.
Steps-
- Ask your child to fill their color palette with acrylic paint.
- Now, help your child to paint the paper plate with each color in the color palette.
- While the paint is drying, draw two circles on the construction paper and cover one side with glue. Fill the construction paper with the cotton balls.
- Paste the two circular construction papers on the paper plate.

You can use this activity as a way to discuss color theory with your children.
Mickey Mouse Grilled Cheese
This grilled cheese pairs wonderfully with tomato soup.
What you need- Plain white bread, Mayonnaise, American cheese, and Mickey Mouse Sandwich Cutter.
Steps-
- Heat up a griddle at medium heat.
- Place a slice of cheese in the middle of two slices of bread and cut the sandwich with a Mickey Mouse-shaped sandwich cutter.
- On the outside of the sandwich, spread mayonnaise.
- Cook the sandwich on the griddle and
- Place the sandwich on the griddle and cook on both sides until it is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
Pro Tip-
You can also add other stuffing to the grilled cheese according to your kids’ taste.
Sponge Mickey Mouse Craft
Most parents will know that a sponge is not only useful for cleaning dishes but also comes in handy for crafting purposes with your children.
What you need- A kitchen sponge, paint, paper plate, paintbrush, yellow pom poms, and glue.
Steps-
- Draw Mickey Mouse’s head on the kitchen sponge and cut with scissors.
- On a paper plate, squirt some black paint and press a wet kitchen sponge in it.
- Paint the bottom half of the kitchen sponge with red paint and stamp on a piece of construction paint.
- Paste the pom poms on the red portion of the paper plate. Let your child repeat the activity until the entire page is covered in Mickey Mouse 🐭.
Mickey Mouse Deviled Eggs
My kids loved these Mickey Mouse-inspired deviled eggs 🥚. This snack is a great way to make your child eat hard-boiled eggs, which are extremely nutritious and healthy.
What you need- Hard-boiled eggs, salt, mayonnaise, black pepper, paprika, red bell pepper, and black olives.
Steps-
- Slice peeled half-boiled eggs in half lengthwise.
- Scoop the yolk into a mixing bowl and add mayonnaise, salt, black pepper, and paprika to taste. Mix well and fill the cavity with the mixture.
- Cut the olives in half and place them on the egg 🥚. Your Mickey Mouse-inspired deviled eggs are ready.
Mickey Mouse Popsicle Stick Craft
My daughter absolutely adores this creation and, for a while, requested to hold on to it while sleeping.
What you need- Popsicle sticks, yellow buttons, acrylic paint, paintbrush, felt fabric, glue, and scissors.
Steps-
- Glue three popsicle sticks to each other.
- Paint half of the popsicle stick black and the other half red.
- Let the paint dry.
- Cut two Mickey Mouse 🐭 ears from the felt fabric and paste them behind the black portion of the sticks.
- Apply glue to the back of two yellow buttons and paste it between the red and the black portions.
Crispy Rice Mickey Mouse Treats
These rice-crispy Mickey Mouse 🐭 treats are a wonderful snack to pack for a picnic at the park.
What you need- Butter, mini marshmallows, Mickey Mouse cutter, Kellog’s Rice Krispies cereal, dark chocolate chips, popsicle sticks, and M&Ms.
Steps-
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Add a packet of marshmallows to the melted butter and constantly stir until the marshmallows have melted. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Now, mix 6 cups of Kellog’s Rice Krispies cereal in the saucepan.
- Press the crispy rice mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let the rice crispy treat sit for 10 minutes.
- Press the Mickey Mouse 🐭 cutter into the treats and place it on another baking sheet.
- Insert a popsicle stick into the treats.
- Melt the chocolate chips into the microwave and cover the rice crispy treats in the chocolate.
- Press the M&Ms in the treats while the chocolate is still wet.
Mickey Mouse Pinata
If your kids are massive Disney fans, then you should consider making this Mickey Mouse 🐭 Pinata with them.
What you need- Cardboard, construction paper, black and red tissue paper, scissors, tape, black thread, and glue.
Steps-
- On the construction paper, draw the template of Mickey Mouse’s head and cut it with scissors.
- Use the template to cut two shapes from the cardboard.
- Cut the remaining cardboard into a couple of strips that are 2 inches thick. Use tape to secure these strips around the perimeter of Mickey Mouse’s head.
- Fill this cavity with candy or a toy and tape the remaining cardboard Mickey Mouse on it. Covering the entire thing.
- Cover everything below the ears 👂 with red tissue paper and everything above it with black tissue paper.
- To make the fringes, fold the black and the red tissue paper lengthwise and cut the fringe. Unwrap the paper and paste these strips around the pinata. Hang the pinata from a tree.
Mickey Mouse Oreos
If you are hosting a Disney-themed birthday party, then consider making these Mickey Mouse-inspired Oreo cookies 🍪.
What you need- Regular Oreo cookies, mini Oreo cookies, red candy melts, dark chocolate candy melts, and white round sprinkles.
Steps-
- Melt the red candy melts in a microwave.
- Dunk the regular-sized Oreo cookies 🍪 halfway through and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Take two round white sprinkles and place them on the red melted chocolate to make Mickey’s buttons.
- Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave. Dunk two mini-sized Oreo cookies and place them on the regular cookies like Mickey’s ears 👂. The Oreo cookies are ready to serve.
Shiny Mickey Mouse Ornament
Whether your kids like Mickey Mouse 🐭 or not, these Mickey Mouse-inspired ornaments are a great way to involve your children in Christmas arts and crafts.
What you need- Round plastic Christmas ornaments, black glitter, red glitter glue, and small white buttons.
Steps-
- Place the Christmas ornaments on a paper plate and cover the top half of it with glue.
- Sprinkle it with black glitter so that it covers it completely.
- Now, cover the bottom half of the ornament with glue and sprinkle with red glitter.
- Apply glue to the back of two white buttons and paste it on the red half of the ornament.
Mickey Mouse Pop Tarts
My kids love pop tarts, but I worry that they have too much sugar and are not a great way to start their day. So, I decided to come up with an easy pop-tart recipe that my kids absolutely adore.
What you need- Pie crust, Mickey Mouse 🐭 cookie cutter, powdered sugar, vanilla, milk, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, all-purpose flour, and an egg 🥚.
Steps-
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- To make the filling, in a mixing bowl, mix half a cup of brown sugar, two teaspoons of ground cinnamon, and one tablespoon of all-purpose flour. Set it aside.
- On a lightly floured, clean surface, roll out the pie crust and use the cookie 🍪cutter to cut the dough.
- Place half of the Mickey Mouse-shaped pie crust on the baking sheet and spread half a teaspoon of the filling around the pie, leaving the edges.
- Cover the pie crusts with the remaining pie crusts and use a fork to crimp out the edges.
- Make an egg wash with an egg 🥚and a splash of milk, and lightly brush the pie crusts.
- Bake in the oven until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, make the icing by mixing together half a cup of powdered sugar, half a teaspoon of vanilla, and two teaspoons of milk.
- After the pop tarts have cooled down, cover them with the icing. The pop tarts are ready to serve.
Pro tip-
You can substitute the cinnamon filling with strawberry or mixed berry jam.
Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Carving
My kids are crazy about Mickey Mouse 🐭, so this year, for Halloween, we decided to carve a Mickey Mouse into our pumpkin. Because this was my children’s first attempt at carving a pumpkin, we decided to carve a foam pumpkin rather than the real fruit.
What you need- Large carvable foam pumpkins, Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Stencil, Tape, Carving Tools, and tea light.
Steps-
- To make the pumpkin carving Mickey Mouse 🐭 stencil, draw Mickey Mouse’s ears 👂, eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Tape this on the pumpkin and teach your child how to use the carving tools to carve out the pumpkin.
- Turn on a tea light and place it inside the carved pumpkin.
Mickey Mouse Pizza
My son has recently taken a special interest in cooking and really likes to help me prepare it. He found this recipe incredibly easy to follow, and so did I.
What you need- Storebought pizza dough, Mickey Mouse 🐭cookie cutter, pizza sauce, shredded cheese, mushroom, olives, and pepperoni.
Steps-
- Preheat the oven according to the instructions written on the back of the pizza dough.
- Roll out the dough evenly on a lightly floured, clean surface, and use the cookie 🍪cutter to cut the dough.
- Grease a baking sheet and place the dough on it.
- Cover the pizza dough with pizza sauce, cheese, mushrooms, olives, and pepperoni.
- Bake until the bottom of the pizza crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
Mickey Mouse Toilet Paper Rolls
Reuse toilet paper rolls for this craft.
What you need- Empty toilet paper rolls, scissors, paint, buttons, glue, cardstock paper, glue, and a paintbrush.
Steps-
- Direct your child to paint two-thirds of the toilet paper roll with black paint.
- Paint the rest with red paint.
- Make Mickey 🐭 ears from the black construction paper and glue it from the inside of the toilet paper rolls.
- Apply glue to the back of two white buttons and stick them between the black and red portions of the toilet paper roll.
Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Gelatin Cups
I tried out this recipe during the summer while my kids were having a Disney movie marathon.
What you need- Jell-O Orange Gelatin Cups, Heavy Cream, Vanilla Extract, Powdered Sugar, Orange Food Coloring, Mini Oreo Cookies 🍪, and a Tootsie Roll.
Steps-
- With a hand mixer or whisk, at medium pace, mix cold heavy cream, a tablespoon of sugar, and a teaspoon of vanilla.
- Whisk until the cream has a smooth, billowy texture, and then add a few drops of orange food coloring. A properly whisked heavy cream will form semi-sturdy peaks that slightly droop down. Pour the cream into a piping bag.
- Pipe the whipped cream on top of the Jell-O orange cups.
- Top it off with two mini Oreo Cookies for Mickey’s ears 👂 and a tootsie roll in the middle.
- Serve immediately.
Pro tip-
Store the Jell-O cups in the fridge until the cream is whisked.
Mickey Mouse Bookmarks
Help your children make these adorable bookmarks for the books they are currently reading.
What you need- Scissors, ruler, liquid glue, and red, black, and white felt fabric.
Steps-
- Use a 15-cm ruler as a template for the bookmark and cut the black fabric.
- Similarly, use the ruler to cut a 5 cm rectangle from the red felt fabric.
- Paste the red felt fabric at the bottom of the black felt fabric.
- Apply glue to the back of two buttons and paste them on the red fabric.
While we kept our bookmarks pretty simple, you can also cut a bow tie from the fabric and even make Mickey’s head and paste it on the bookmark.
Mickey Mouse Soft Pretzels
My kids absolutely loved these soft, flaky pretzels.
What you need- Dry yeast, water, white sugar, butter, flour, and baking soda.
Steps-
- To prove the dry yeast, mix four teaspoons of yeast with warm water and a teaspoon of white sugar in a bowl. Set it aside for at least 10 minutes or until the mixture looks creamy and frothy.
- Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, sift 5 cups of flour, one and a half cups of white sugar, and one and a half teaspoon of salt.
- Make a hole in the middle of the mixing bowl and pour one and a half tablespoons of melted butter and the yeast mixture.
- Mix everything together and add water if the dough seems too dry.
- Knead for at least 7 to 8 minutes or until the dough is able to hold its shape.
- Ask your child to grease a large, clean bowl with oil, put the dough in it, and cover it with oil. Cover the bowl with a tea towel and set it aside in a warm place till the dough has doubled in size.
- Once the dough has expanded, preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a soup pan, warm up 4 cups of water and baking soda.
- Roll out the dough on a clean surface and cut with the Mickey Mouse cookie 🍪 cutter.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- While the soup pan is still on the stove, dip the pretzel in it and then place it on the baking sheet.
- Lightly brush the top of the pretzel with melted butter and sea salt and bake in the oven until the pretzels are golden brown.
Mickey Mouse Piggy Bank
Motivate your kids to save up some money for a new toy with this Mickey Mouse 🐭 Piggy Bank.
What you need- Mason Jar piggy bank, polish, and black, red, and white acrylic paint.
Steps-
- Paint the bottom half of the mason jar in red paint.
- Also, paint the cap of the mason jar with black paint.
- While the red paint is drying, paint the top half of the mason jar with black paint.
- Draw two circles on the red part of the mason jar. Once the paint has dried, use a paint varnish as a top coat. The piggy bank is ready to be used.
Mickey Mouse Sugar Cookies
My kids get their love for sugar cookies from me, and recently, I decided to teach them how to make sugar cookies.
What you need- Mickey Mouse 🐭 cookie cutter, all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, salt, unsalted butter, and eggs.
Steps-
- Sift four cups of all-purpose flour, three-quarters of a teaspoon of salt, and three-quarters of a teaspoon of baking powder in a mixing bowl.
- In a large steel mixing bowl, use a hand mixer fixed with a paddle attachment to beat one cup of softened unsalted butter and one cup of granulated sugar. Let the butter and sugar mixture beat until it is light and fluffy.
- Add one egg 🥚 and then add another egg once the first egg is properly mixed. Beat for a few minutes, and then add vanilla.
- Now, start adding the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients one cup at a time. Mix with the paddle attachment until everything is well incorporated.
- Divide the dough in half and cover both of them with saran wrap. Let the dough rest overnight or for at least 2 hours.
- To bake, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and cover the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough till it is an inch thick and cut with the Mickey Mouse cutter.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake until the cookies 🍪 are golden brown.
Pro tip-
You can cover the cookies with melted chocolate or a topping of your choice and serve.
Mickey Mouse Math
Kids love Mickey Mouse 🐭 and you can use his imagery to teach your kids how to add, subtract, multiply, or divide.
What you need- A whiteboard, whiteboard marker, and whiteboard eraser.
Steps-
- On the whiteboard, draw the silhouette of Mickey Mouse’s face.
- In the ears 👂, write two numbers.
- Write the mathematical operation in the middle.
- Ask your child to write the answer in his face.
Pro tip-
While helping my kids with their math homework, I like to give them wooden blocks or a tangible prop that they can use while working out a math problem.
