How to Draw a Catfish
Step: 1

Draw a rounded shape for the head. Add a curved line at the bottom for the open mouth. Draw a short, curved line from the mouth for the whisker.
Step: 2

Draw a big circle for the eye and a smaller circle inside for the pupil. Above the eye, draw a curved line for the eyebrow. Below the eye, add a wavy line for extra detail.
Step: 3

Draw another curved line from the top of the head to make the second barbel. It should curve outwards and upwards, giving the catfish its unique look.
Step: 4

From the back of the head, draw a long curved line for the top of the body and add a small dorsal fin along it.
Step: 5

Draw a rounded shape at the end of the body to create the tail fin. Make sure the tail fin is proportionate to the body.
Step: 6

Draw a small, curved line below the body near the head for the pectoral fin. It should curve outward and downward.
Step: 7

Draw another small curved line further back on the body for the pelvic fin. This line should curve outward and downward.
Step: 8

Draw a line from the bottom of the body near the tail to create the anal fin. Make sure it curves slightly and matches the size of the other fins.
Step: 9

Add wavy lines on the dorsal and tail fins for texture. Draw a line down the middle of the body for more detail. Add wavy lines on the sides to show the catfish’s unique markings.
Step: 10

Finally, color your catfish. Common choices are light brown or grey for the body and darker fins. Add shading to give the drawing more depth.
