Did You Know About Owls Night Vision

Owls are known for their exceptional night vision. They possess large pupils and corneas that can effectively gather light. Owls can also see in bright sunlight but cannot see and interpret a broad spectrum of colors. The size of owl eyes is quite remarkable in proportion to their heads.  Despite their excellent visual acuity, owl eyes are more flat than spherical, and this adaptation limits their ability to move their eyes. Thus, owls turn their heads to see, which they can do remarkably well, with a range of head rotation of up to 270 degrees.
