How to Draw a Barn Owl
Step 1:
Start by drawing a small diamond shape in the center of your page; this will form the beak of the owl.
Step 2:
Place two large circles on either side of the beak; these will become the owl’s eyes.
Step 3:
Inside each circle, draw smaller circles for the pupils, ensuring they are centered to give the owl a forward-facing gaze.
Step 4:
Add angled lines above each eye to represent the eyebrows, giving the owl a characteristic expression.
Step 5:
Outline the head with a leaf-shaped figure, making sure the pointed end of the leaf intersects with the beak, and the rounded lobes outline the owl’s eyes.
Step 6:
Now, draw a round shape for the head.
Step 7:
Sketch the sides of the owl’s face with more pronounced curved lines that extend down from the eyebrows, mimicking the contours of the face.
Step 8:
Draw the owl’s body with a large, elongated shape extending downward from the head. Add feather details to the body. Begin the wings by drawing a large curved line down one side of the body.
Step 9:
Sketch in the feather pattern on the owl’s belly using small, curved lines to create the appearance of a feathered texture.
Step 10:
Now, draw the shape of the barn owl’s legs below its belly.
Step 11:
Now, add details to the legs of the barn owl.
Step 12:
Now, sketch the branch of the tree by creating zigzag lines.
Step 13:
Add additional small branches on the main branch.
Step 14:
Now, sketch the wing attached to the barn owl’s body, adding details for the feathers.
Step 15:
Now, color it with black, skin, dark brown, light brown, and a touch of yellow.
