How to draw a beagle
Step 1:
Start with a small curve triangle upside-down shape for the nose. Inside this shape, draw two smaller ovals for the nostrils and a wavy line at the top for the ridge of the nose.
Step 2:
Continue with the eyes, drawing them as two large circles. Inside each eye, add smaller circles for the pupils.
Step 3:
Add a tiny circle to represent the reflection, giving life to the eyes. Now add the gently curved lines just above the eyes to give expression.
Step 4:
Sketch a larger oval shape for the head, ensuring there’s enough space for the forehead and cheeks. Adding a curve below the nose for the distinct Beagle smile.
Step 5:
Add the eyebrows above the eyes, and refine the shape of the snout. Create a “U” shape for the tongue and add facial details as shown in the picture.
Step 6:
Sketch two large, floppy ears hanging down from the head, with the inner line of each ear. Beagles have long ears, so they should extend down to the mouth level.
Step 7:
Draw a curved line from the back of the head down to the back and a line underneath for the belly. Add a slight curve for the chest. Just behind the chest line, draw two parallel lines down for the hind leg closest to us.
Step 8:
Include a curved line beside the belly, right opposite the hind leg, to create another leg for the beagle.
Step 9:
Just behind the chest line, draw two parallel lines down for the front leg closest to us. Repeat a similar step for the other front leg, slightly hidden by the first.
Step 10:
Draw the tail with a slight upward curve, indicating a happy demeanor.
Step 11:
Add final details such as the paw lines, fur texture, and any additional shading or patterns typical of a Beagle’s coat.
Step 12:
The happy Beagle dog is ready. Now color it with a brown, black, and white coat, large blue eyes, and a wagging tail.
Conclusion
Drawing a beagle is a delightful and easy endeavor. Start with the distinct features like the floppy ears and friendly eyes. Outline the body and tail, adding details like fur markings.
