Hello, young artists! Today, we’re going to draw a cute and cuddly bilby. Whether you’ve heard about these adorable creatures or seen them in pictures, we’re going to bring them to life on paper.
Follow along with my simple instructions, grab your drawing materials, and let’s create our own bilby masterpiece together! 🎨🐾
How to Draw Bilby
Begin with a simple curved line for the head and add a circular shape for the bilby’s nose.
Sketch the bilby’s face, adding an eye, nose tip, and a smiling mouth.
Draw curved triangles for the ears and add inner details to the ears. Extend the back line downward to start forming the body.
Now, draw a curved line starting from the bilby’s ear to create the back of the bilby.
Continue the body shape, adding a front leg and outline for the belly.
Sketch the second front leg, giving shape to the bilby’s chest.
Add the hind leg and define the toes on the feet, giving attention to the unique shape of the bilby’s paws.
Complete the outline by adding the second hind leg and refining the shape of the body.
Sketch the tail, making it thick at the base and tapering to a point.
Finish your drawing by coloring the bilby, typically in shades of grey with a white underbelly and black-tipped ears and tail. The nose is often pink.
