Today, we’ll learn how to draw a cheetah!
Drawing a cheetah is fun and rewarding. These fast and sleek animals are great subjects to draw.
Cheetahs have unique spots, slender bodies, and alert expressions. Drawing one can show their grace and agility.
Focus on the cheetah’s key features: spots, long legs, and streamlined body. Pay attention to details like the shape of the head, ear positions, and eye intensity. These details make your drawing dynamic and lifelike.
Ready? Let’s draw a cheetah together!
How to Draw a Cheetah
Step: 1
Start by drawing the cheetah’s head. Make a round shape for the head and add small, rounded ears on top. Sketch a snout at the bottom with a small nose and a smiling mouth.
Step: 2
Next, draw the cheetah’s face. Make two big, round eyes with pupils and highlights to make them look lively. Add a small line for the mouth and a round nose to complete the snout.
Step: 3
To make the cheetah recognizable, draw spots on its head. Add small circular spots around the eyes and forehead. This will start to give your cheetah its distinctive look.
Step: 4
Draw a line from the head to form the neck, then continue with a long, curved line for the back and body. Make sure the line curves gently downward and outward.
Step: 5
Sketch the hind leg by drawing a long, slightly curved line extending downwards from the body outline. Add a rounded paw with small toes at the bottom.
Step: 6
Draw the second hind leg slightly behind the first one. Make sure it follows the same shape and size, with another rounded paw at the bottom.
Step: 7
Complete the body by drawing a curved line from the front legs to form the belly. Then extend this line towards the back to outline the hindquarters and back leg.
Step: 8
Sketch the front leg with a rounded paw similar to the front legs. Make sure the leg is slightly bent to show the cheetah in a standing position.
Step: 9
Draw a long, curved tail extending from the back of the body. The tail should have a slight curve to it and be proportionate to the body length. At last, finish your cheetah by adding spots to its body.
Step: 10
After finishing the drawing, color your cheetah. Use yellow and orange for the body, add black spots, and make the nose and inner ears pink. The eyes can be a bright color like green or amber.
