Did you know that cats have been companions to humans for thousands of years? Domestic cats are known for their playful behavior, sharp claws, and keen hunting instincts. They can make over 100 different sounds and have excellent night vision. Cats spend a large part of their day grooming themselves and sleeping, often up to 16 hours a day. Big cats, like lions, tigers, and cheetahs, are their wild relatives and share many characteristics, such as retractable claws and powerful muscles.
