Uranus Facts

Did you know that Uranus is unique among the planets in our solar system because it rotates on its side? This unusual tilt gives Uranus extreme seasons that last over 20 years each. The planet has a faint ring system and is composed mostly of hydrogen, helium, and methane, which gives it a blue-green color. Uranus also has 27 known moons, with names inspired by characters from Shakespeare and Alexander Pope.
