Slovakia has 180 castles and 425 chateaux! is a lot for such a tiny nation!
So you will see at least one castle or chateau wherever you go. Spi Castle is the most well-known as well as one of the biggest in Central Europe (it is on the UNESCO List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage!).
The country might be divided into 180…30,000-person kingdoms, each with its own castle or chateau.
Unfortunately, there are only 120 castles with visible remnants due to neglect. Fortunately, there are still many castles to view, each with its own majesty and frigid beauty.
Imany: The world’s first folk architecture reservation
It was the world’s first folk architectural reserve, established in 1977.
Since the Slavonic Ethnological Exhibition in Prague in 1895…people were extremely curious. Since then, the town has created a distinct type of tourism and folk studies, which continue to this day!
In many respects, it is a typical Slovak hamlet, with black wooden dwellings crowded around the town church, but these homes are different. 🛖

It first opened in 1991 and currently showcases 160 original works by one of the most well-known 20th-century creative forces!
