10+ Sticker Activities for Kids to Express and Play!

I remember I used to collect stickers of my favorite cartoon characters ๐Ÿ˜ when I was my son’s age.

Stickers are fascinating and engaging supplies that are loved by kids of all ages. My daughter loves โค ๏ธ to play with stickers of her favorite characters like Shin Chan and Doraemon. My son loves collecting stickers of various aircraft โœˆ๏ธ and ๐Ÿš€ rockets.

I love teaching my little ones the English Alphabet ๐Ÿ”  , numbers ๐Ÿ”ข, addition, multiplication, and similar topics using suitable stickers.

Moreover, we enjoy creating amazing craft pieces ๐Ÿคฉ using colorful and shiny stickers.

Fascinating Sticker Activities for Kids

Kids love playing with stickers, so it’s quite easy to grab their attention ๐Ÿง  toward a topic or activity involving stickers. Here are a few sticker activities I love to engage in with my little ones.

Mathematical Stickers

This is an extremely popular activity by means of which I teach my little ones about numbers ๐Ÿ”ข and mathematical operations quite easily.

We take stickers of various numbers and symbols of mathematical operations and use them to learn addition โž•๏ธ, multiplication โœ–๏ธ, division โž—๏ธ , and subtraction.

My daughter loves to learn โœ๏ธ about numbers by sticking the stickers on her notebook or chart papers.

My son is very focused on solving numerical problems and putting the stickers of the numbers on the sheets of paper to form the answers.

You can also teach your little mathematicians about odd, even, or prime numbers ๐Ÿ”ข using stickers.

Alphabets and Stickers

This is another engaging way of utilizing stickers to teach your little ones about alphabets ๐Ÿ” , spellings, and sentences.

I ask my kids to form words and sentences using stickers of the English ๐Ÿ”  alphabet.

Moreover, you can create a ‘Match the Column’ activity for your kids using these stickers.

I put the stickers of various animals like bees ๐Ÿ or cows ๐Ÿ„ under one column and ask my kids to spell their names in English in the adjacent column using stickers of alphabets.

Sometimes, I jumble up the names on the second column and ask my kids to use a pencil โœ๏ธ to draw a line and match the animal’s stickers to its correct name.

Rainbow Stickers

Painting rainbows is a beloved activity of kids, but making a rainbow ๐ŸŒˆ using colorful stickers is even more interesting and engaging.

I draw the outline of a rainbow using a black marker pen and ask my little ones to put stickers in each row of the outline corresponding to the colors ๐ŸŒˆ of a rainbow.

My daughter loves to use colorful tiny heart-shaped stickers for this purpose, while my son loves to use airplane-shaped โœˆ๏ธ colorful stickers for the same.

Why limit the imagination to rainbows?

I use half of a circular paper plate to make the body of an octopus ๐Ÿ™ and attach strings to one end to form its tentacles. My kids stick colorful dot-shaped ๐Ÿ”ด โšช๏ธ ๐Ÿ”ต or heart โค๏ธ ๐Ÿงก ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ’š shaped stickers on the tentacles to decorate the octopus.

Pro Tip

You can also prepare the cutout of a snail’s ๐ŸŒ spiral shell or a caterpillar ๐Ÿ› for your kids to decorate using various colorful stickers.

Sticker Tracing Activities

Teaching my little ones to draw โœ๏ธ is one of my favorite activities, and using translucent stickers for this purpose is another interesting ๐Ÿ’ก idea.

I put translucent stickers carrying black colored bold outlines of animals ๐Ÿ’ or plants ๐ŸŒณ on the completed colorful diagram of the same.

My kids observe the colors on the original diagram through the translucent sticker and paint ๐ŸŽจ the outlines on the sticker resembling the colors of the original diagram.

I also teach my little ones how to trace their names or specific spellings ๐Ÿ”  using translucent stickers for this tracing activity.

Sticker Sorting

My kids love ๐Ÿคฉ sorting activities because they refine their thinking ๐Ÿค” abilities.

I prepare columns on a piece of art paper and label each column with the name of a color.

My little ones are supposed to recognize the stickers of each color ๐ŸŒˆ and stick them correctly in the corresponding columns.

You can repeat this activity with numbers ๐Ÿ”ข too, by asking your kids to sort prime numbers (such as 2, 3, 5, โ€ฆ and so on), even numbers, and odd numbers in specific columns.

Moreover, I ask my kids to sort the stickers of herbivores ๐Ÿ„ and carnivores ๐Ÿฏ in separate corresponding columns, too.

In addition to this activity, you can also use stickers of different sizes or shapes and ask your little ones to sort them by grouping the same shapes or sizes in separate sheets.

Festive Sticker Decorations

Glitter stickers are a must-have craft supply for making festive greeting cards ๐Ÿ’Œ or garlands.

My little ones love to use shiny โœจ๏ธ and glitter stickers resembling stars ๐ŸŒŸ, moon ๐ŸŒ™, or planets ๐Ÿชto decorate balloons, paper garlands, or cards.

Moreover, we also decorate notebooks and paintings using shiny stickers.

I draw circular or triangular ๐Ÿ”บ๏ธ shapes on strips of paper and ask my little one to choose and put a sticker fitting perfectly into that shape, letting them polish their fine motor skills.

You can also teach your little ones how to punch holes in the center of these circular stickers using a punching machine.

Important Note:

Please make sure your little campers don’t injure themselves while using scissors or punching machines.

Sticker Bracelets

My little ones love giving their peers funky bracelets ๐Ÿชข; thus, we often end up making pretty bracelets using various kinds of stickers.

I cut out โœ‚๏ธ strips of paper and mark a pattern on them using dotted lines. My little ones stick round-shaped ๐ŸŸก or different kinds of stickers along these dotted lines, practicing a fine motor activity.

I punch holes in the ends of every sticker bracelet and tie it around the wrists of my little ones.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Dot Sticker Activity

All parents and children must be well aware of the famous book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Let me tell you that Chicka Chicka Boom Boom dot sticker activities are just as famous ๐Ÿคฉ as the wonderful book itself.

I just print ๐Ÿ–จ the diagram of a tree ๐ŸŒณ and put dot-shaped white stickers carrying alphabets all over it in a fashion corresponding to the contents of the book.

My little one’s job is to put colorful stickers of the same alphabet ๐Ÿ”  over the white-shaped stickers. This activity helps them to recall and recognize small letters and capital letters in a simple manner.

Unicorn Sticker Activity

Does your little one love coloring ๐ŸŽจ activities just like my son and daughter?

If the answer is yes, then this sticker coloring activity is a perfect one for them.

I take the printout of a colorful unicorn ๐Ÿฆ„, divide the whole diagram into grids, and write โœ๏ธ the names of the colors to be filled in each section. My little painters read the name of a particular color ๐ŸŽจ and pick out stickers of the same color to cover the respective grids with it.

This sticker activity will help them to recall the names of different colors โœ…๏ธ quite easily. Moreover, you can repeat the same activity with the diagram of a dinosaur ๐Ÿฆ• too.

Sticker Maze Activity

Maze activities have always been a favorite ๐Ÿคฉ, and adding the concept of stickers to it is a big hit amongst kids. I draw a grid on a piece of white paper (you can also draw circles ๐Ÿ”ต in a grid-like fashion) and write alphabets in each grid.

I make sure a certain alphabet completes the maze by repeating in a continuous (not necessarily straight) line from the topmost left-hand side end of the grid to the bottom-most right-hand side of it.

My little one’s job is to recognize this particular alphabet ๐Ÿ”  and follow its path throughout the maze by sticking colorful stickers of the same alphabet along the path on the grids.

Planets, Countries, and Stars

Stickers of planets ๐ŸŒ, flags, and celestial bodies come extremely handy when I am teaching my little ones.

I write โœ๏ธ the names of various planets, such as ‘SATURN’ ๐Ÿช, and ask my little one to put the sticker corresponding to the name over it. Similarly, I teach my little one the names of various stars ๐ŸŒŸ and celestial bodies.

Memorizing the flags ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ of various countries is a tough job, but it becomes easy with the help of stickers of all the flags. My little one writes the name of a country ๐ŸŒ on a piece of paper and puts the sticker of that particular country’s flag over it.

Analyze the Measurements

Teaching my little one about analyzing sizes and different measurements visually ๐Ÿ‘€ is always on my list โœ…๏ธ of priorities.

I collect stickers of circles ๐Ÿ”ต or different shapes and ask my little one to put these stickers on a piece of paper in increasing or decreasing order of sizes ๐Ÿ“ on a sheet of paper.

You can also utilize three-dimensional stickers to teach your little one about the concepts of dimensions.

Conclusion

Stickers are lovely ๐Ÿคฉ craft supplies that can be used for a number of activities for little ones.

Starting from colorful ๐ŸŒˆ sticker activities to shiny โœจ๏ธ ones, don’t forget to tell me ๐Ÿ˜‡ in the comments below which one is your kid’s favorite.
