Hello Artists! Today, we’re going to learn how to draw a cat, one of our favorite furry friends!
Drawing a cat might seem common, but it can be very rewarding. Cats make charming additions to any artwork, so mastering how to draw them is great.
It’s delightful to focus on creatures that bring us joy. Cats are everywhere, from our homes to the internet, and they deserve some artistic appreciation. Art is about capturing what we love and giving it attention.
Drawing a beloved cat can help you appreciate their beauty and personality. Exciting, right?
Let’s get started.
How To Draw A Cat
Step: 1
Start by drawing a simple outline of the cat’s head. Add two pointed ears at the top, with some small tufts of fur at the base of each ear.
Step: 2
Step: 3
Inside the head outline, draw two big circles for the eyes. Add smaller circles inside for the pupils. Make sure the eyes are even and show emotion.
Step: 4
Draw whiskers by extending a few lines from each side of the nose. Add small lines inside the ears for detail. To give the face a furry texture, draw short, jagged lines around it.
Step: 5
Draw a big oval shape under the head to outline the cat’s body. Make sure the body matches the size of the head.
Step: 6
Draw two straight lines down from the body for the front legs. Add small, rounded shapes at the bottom for the paws.
Step: 7
Draw the hind legs by extending lines from the back of the body. Bend the legs slightly and add rounded shapes at the bottom for the paws.
Step: 8
Draw a long, curved line from the back of the body to create the tail. You can make the tail slightly curved or straight, as you prefer.
Step: 9
Finally, color your cat. Typical cat colors include shades of orange, gray, brown, or black. You can add patterns such as stripes or spots to make your cat unique.
